Bee Green is the First Beekeeping company in Ireland to professionally supply and manage Beehives for organisations.

Our goal is to help reverse the decline of our native Irish honey bee, creating awareness as to the environmental impact from the decline of the honey bee and to encourage companies to get involved by means of partnering with us providing you with an amazing opportunity to have your own hive of Native Irish Honey Bees on your property.
Our aim is to site 250 new beehive colonies of bees within the next 5 years throughout Ireland and reinvest some of our profits to provide free hives for charities and community groups.
We are ethically, responsible beekeepers, based in County Limerick, with years of experience in sustainable beekeeping, beehive rental and management. We are members of The Federation of Irish Bee Keepers Association and proud business supporters of the All Ireland Pollinator Plan .
For a small monthly fee, we will install your Beehives on your premises and manage the Colony's of honey bees for you , providing you with unique experience while rewarding you with a unique marketing, and community outreach opportunities for your business.

100% delicious, Irish local honey, direct from your very own hives!
Your honey will be unique to you, based on the pollen and nectar the bees find surrounding your location – it could be heather, wild flowers, tree pollen, rapeseed oil, borage, tree blossom – the result is a product as unique as your organisation. And we encourage you to proudly let other people know it, too! That’s why we’ll provide you with marketing ideas to help you to achieve local - and possibly even national – press
We’ve put together a fun, exciting and fascinating talk about honeybees and beekeeping, using images and footage from your hives. We offer this in the form of a keynote presentation for conferences or a more informal session for internal meetings and staff engagement programmes.
Why not arrange for employees, stakeholders or customers to have a guided tour of your own hives while we are on site?
The bees themselves don’t require much space but we need about 3 meters clear around the hive in order to work efficiently. Bees prefer a sunny spot with partial shade if you have it, ideally near a fence, wall or screen, which protects the hive from wind and encourages them to fly up high when leaving the hive. Rooftops can be especially good places to site them.
Bees are wild. If threatened, or in defence, they would sting, however, because they immediately die after stinging a human, it is a last resort for them to do so. Bees aren’t especially inquisitive – they are extremely hard working and get on with pollinating and producing honey!
Bees swarm for a number of reasons; the most common being capacity issues: life gets a bit crowded and so some of them fly off to find a bigger place to live! Contrary to popular belief, swarms are not angry and dangerous – bees are actually at their most calm and docile when in the swarming state
Honey farming is like any other crop farming and subsequently a number of factors can affect it: the weather, the queen bee, the health of the colony and the availability of food for the bees for forage on. We provide them with the best conditions we can for producing honey. however, it is impossible to give an accurate figure. Typically, in the first year there is a possibility of less honey than in the second and subsequent years as the bees establish the hive.
